Wandering

Wandering

Fleur Wood sweater, Daniel Avakian leather shorts, Isis Design Co layered fine necklaces with metallic druzy crystal drops and cuff, Windsor Smith boots and Spell & the Gypsy Collective bag.

In my last post I presented the first look from my collaboration with Isis Design Co and now I give you my second look, Wandering. This look is more casual than the last because I wanted to demonstrate how versatile Isis pieces are. You can wear them out at night, to work, uni, a concert....wherever you want! Anywhere and everyday. For this particular look I included the layered fine necklaces with metallic druzy crystal drops and Isis' signature cuff. Each piece creates a statement however they also compliment each other perfectly, which is the beauty of the Isis collection.

A little bit more about the brand.....Isis Design Co is launching their debut collection this summer 14/15. The brand was founded by Sydney based fashion lovers with a desire to make beautiful, wearable and small statement pieces. Inspired by the Egyptian god Isis, the brand demonstrates femininity and individuality. Quality is important to Isis. Only the best stones are used and all production is in Australia. Stay up to date with Isis through Instagram and Facebook

....and don't forget to enter their competition to win a druzy heart pendant! Details available on my instagram and in the last post.

HIgh end grunge

 HIgh end grunge

Isis Design Co necklace, Fleur Wood top, Daniel Avakian leather skirt, Lipstick heels, After the Apple bag, Napoleon lipstick and nail polish.

I am so excited to share with you all my latest flatlay! This particular look is very special because it marks the beginning of a collaboration with Isis Design Co, an amazing new Australian jewellery brand. Isis produces beautiful, high quality and interesting jewellery in Sydney. In my flatlay I have included one of my favourite Isis pieces the black Amethyst Druzy mini heart pendant set in 14K gold. I love that a fine necklace can still be a statement piece! What is even better is that this heart can be in white Agate Druzy and red Druzy as well as be set in sterling sliver or rose gold, so you can make the piece unique for you. This beautiful simplistic yet unique style continues through out the Isis range.

I love the edginess of the Amethyst Druzy so I decided to make it my muse for this look. The tye dye Fleur Wood top combined with the Daniel Avakian leather skirt creates a grungy style however, I teamed them with Lipstick heels and After the Apple bag to make the overall look more high end. Of course, you could easily transform this to a day time look with some chunky boots and a satchel bag. Dark blue nails are a great way to emphasis the edginess without going goth black and a bright red lips adds a pop of colour to complete the look.

Isis is currently holding a competition, which gives you the opportunity to win not one but two heart pendants, one in white and one in black! It is so simple to enter, just follow these steps:
1. Like Isis Design Co on Facebook and follow on Instagram
2. Create and post a flatlay or collage on how you would style a black or white heart pendant .........or even choose another Isis piece. Try to include mostly Australian designers!
3. Tag Isis and all the other designers.
4. Hashtag #isisdesigns and #howiwearisis
5. Post look on Instagram and share on facebook.

That's it! So start getting creative!
....and did I mention the prize is worth $1,4000 so now there even more of an incentive to enter.

I look forward to seeing how everyone styles Isis Design Co

Groovin before the moo

Indian Necklace, Costalots sunglasses similar here, Witchery top, vintage skirt from Old World New Vintage, Roger David flannel similar here and Lipstick boots

On Friday I went to Groovin the Moo with a large group of friends. Before then every music festival I had been to had had a forecast of blistering heat, so I was a little stumped on what to wear. A few hours were spent trying items on and off and back on again. A google search recommended I bring layers as it could be freezing out in the open but really warm in the crowd. So I devised an outfit based on layering and a tying system to attach a knit and parka to my bag. The end product is what you can see above (minus the loaded bag), which saw me conformably through till the end of the day. Only a parka was needed for a little extra warmth!

In typical festival style, my friend and I managed to somehow loose the rest of our group and spent the day bumping into other various friends while checking out the different artists. I particularly enjoyed Violent Soho, Jungle Giants, Thundamentals and Disclosure! I feel as if I am still recovering from all the groovin but it was definitely worth it even with my boots changing to a shade of brown and me losing my sunglasses....

90s kid

Vintage stripe tee
Vintage Sole denim pinafore
Ash wedge trainers

I was your typical 90s kids. I crimped and beaded my hair, I listened to countless Barbie and So Fresh CDs, I wore a sunflower dress with pink sparkly jelly sandals, and naturally I owned an array of denim items. While I have let go of the desire to cover my head in beads, my love of denim has remained and for some time now I have dreamt of owning a denim pinafore. On the glorious street known as Brunswick I discovered this little number at Vintage Sole. I instantly fell in love with its simplicity, big pockets,  loose fit and of course denim material. It has very much become a go to item and has helped me survive a few 'I feel so fat' as well as many 'I have nothing to wear' days. For me (as I am sure for many others) black and white stripe, and denim are a matched made in heaven so it was a no brainer that my vintage stripe tee would be the perfect companion for my new pinafore. I completed the outfit with my high-tops to add a bit of funk and playfulness to the overall look.

Sophie and I tired out a new location with this look and I am unsure as to whether I like it or not but I always feel it is worth experimenting and finding new approaches. A massive thank you to her again for doing my make up and taking the photos.

In other news the Adelaide Fringe Festival is now over, which means my time at the Old World New Vintage stall in the Garden has sadly come to an end. However, I now have four amazing new vintage pieces to shoot and share with you all. In my next post I will also be sharing my favourite op shops in and surrounding Adelaide's CBD so stay turned for more vintage!

Hope you have a great week, Hannah xx

Old love

Wearing: Vintage lace blouse similar here, Tigerlily blue wrap skirt, We Are Handsome shoes, Blue ring from Nepal and Lovisa gold star necklace.

The weather this day was absolutely crazy! Still fairly warm but the wind had a mind of its own. My hair and skirt were going everywhere so Sophie and I gave up fighting it very quickly and just tried to go with the flow. This outfit makes me feel very youthful, soft and dreamy. I sort of float through the day when wearing it, which is a nice change from my earth shaking chunky boots. The blouse is vintage (surprise surprise), which I purchased in Melbourne along with my We Are Handsome colourful canvas shoes. My skirt is an old love of mine. I have lost count of how have many years I have had it but it remains one of my favourite and most worn items of clothing in my wardrobe.

In other news, I have been working at Old World New Vintage at the Garden for Adelaide Fringe. It is around till the end of this week so come check it out! Leah has such a great eye for beautiful things (I have already purchased 3 items from her), I actually bought the lace blouse from her.
Also Uni has started and I can feel the craziness kicking into gear already. Hopefully the blog will not be completely forgotten...I will try my very best!

A big thank you again to Sophie for taking the photos.

Enjoy the rest of your week x

Fringing

Suede Online fringe jacket
Vintage dress
Turquoise earrings
Gorman shoes

The last two weeks have gone past so quickly! I was supposed to post this last week but things just got crazy. I bought this fringe jacket from Suede Online for an absoulte steal, I won't give the exact price but lets just say I saved nearly $900!! The only problem is that I am little scared to wear it. I am so certain I will have a clumsy blonde moment while I have it on! but I am just hopeless when it comes to resisting anything with a boho vibe. My dress is another op shop number, which I have had for about 5 years and it is one of my favourite things to wear. The day I offically wear it to thread bare death will be a sad day.

Hope you all have a great weekend x

Acid wash

Vintage top, vintage skirt, vintage bag and Windsor Smith boots.

Here is the last look from my op shop collaboration with my friend Sophie although I doubt it will be the last for long! The more I search through racks of second hand clothing and find information on clothing recycling, the more passionate I become. While reading the Renegade Collective, I came across an article on Christina Dean, founder of Red Dress and the EcoChic Design awards. She is dedicated to raising awareness of the pollution caused by the garment industry and continually supports sustainable fashion. A friend also showed me an article on Not Just a Fashion Label and Eco luxe label We'ar, which are both working towards a sustainable and ethical industry. I could keep going on about these amazing organisations but I think I should stop before I get carried away.... But do check them out!

On another note, I have to say this is the most make up I have ever worn! I was a little freaked when I first looked in the mirror but as always Sophie did an amazing job and I love the edginess it adds to the look. This outfit is so easy to throw on and so comfortable, it is definitely a go to outfit at the moment! I'll probably wear it to death but a least I'll get my money's worth.

Hope you had a great weekend xx
